This April I will be running the London Marathon, something I've always dreamt of doing. I couldn't think of any other charity I'd rather raise money for than ActionAid which I've been involved with from a young age. I believe that across the developing world there are two major challenges which need addressing urgently; the growing divide between rich and poor and rapid population growth. ActionAid works fundamentally to empower women in Third World countries which in turn is making a real difference working to solve these issues.

It's main areas of work are:

• Women's Rights
• Education
• Economic Injustice
• Providing food in a sustainable way
• Humanitarian relief in emergencies

26 miles is a long old way for a second year student and I would really appreciate any support. I really believe in the work of ActionAid and it would mean so much to me if you guys could support them too.
