Story
Team Blackline - Mark Lindblom, Phil Spencer, Alex Lewis, Nick Sowerbutts and myself - are taking part in the 2019 Everest in the Alps event.
The challenge is to climb the same vertical distance of Mount Everest (8,848m) in four days on skis.
In doing so we are looking to raise mountains of money to support the work of a number of charities close to our hearts. The Anaphylaxis Campaign; Rethink Mental Illness and The Brain Tumour Charity. This is the Just Giving page for The Anaphylaxis Campaign.
The Anaphylaxis Campaign does wonderful work to support those with severe allergies and their families. Rose, our daughter, has such allergies so this is a cause close to our hearts providing much needed advice and assistance.
Anaphylaxis (pronounced ana-fill-ax-is) is a severe and life-threatening allergic reaction that can be fatal. Severe symptoms such as a swollen tongue, difficulty breathing or becoming unconscious usually develop suddenly, often within minutes after being exposed to an allergy trigger such as a particular food, latex, insect stings or certain drugs.
