Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Saturday 2nd May 2015, I will be doing a Tough Mudder in memory of a fine friend very much missed by many of us called Michael Mackay-Lewis.

The Tough Mudder consists of a 10-12 mile obstacle course in the mud, with obstacles called 'Electroshock Therapy', 'Cry Bay (involves tear gas!), 'Arctic Enema (Ice bath)', 'Boa Constrictor', 'Ring of Fire' and the famous high wall called 'Everest'.

Since Michael tragically died in 2011 his family and friends have got behind the excellent work of the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust. The Trust's vision is to raise awareness of depression as an illness, reduce the stigma attached to seeking help and promote mental well being so that fewer people become depressed, more people seek and receive help - and suicides are therefore prevented.

Any donation that can be offered towards this very worthy cause will be greatly appreciated. Given the pain involved with the obstacles I hope you agree any sponsorship money will be well earned!
