Story
Hello, we are a group of women who met up a few years ago at our local running group. We are not natural runners and we are aged between 37 and 69! When COVID hit we encouraged each other to carry on running and then carried on running together once the restrictions allowed us. Alison Morris ran the GNR last year in memory of her mother, so when the GNR ballot came about last year, several of us entered, not thinking for a minute we would get places, but 4 of us did! Then the other 3 decided to support us by getting charity places to run raising much needed funds for St Catherine's. Any support you can give us will be massively appreciated as it will help motivate our training runs and on the day of the race. Thank you for reading.
St Catherine's provides palliative and end-of-life care and support for the people of Central Lancashire, through our specialised services at the hospice and in people’s own homes. They are here to help people facing life-shortening conditions like cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure to enjoy the best possible quality of life to the end of life. It costs more than £5m to run the charity every single year. They rely on the amazing efforts and wonderful generosity of supporters like you to help raise the funds they need. Thank you!
