Story

Rosie’s Fund has been set up in memory of Rosie Mitchell, who died aged 15 on 17th September 2016, while rowing on the Thames.

Rob, Adam and Matt are running this year’s London Marathon in memory of Rosie, and to raise money for Momentum, the local charity that has provided invaluable support to the Mitchells since she passed away.

And if you want to see Rob, Adam and Matt run 26 miles through the streets of London in pink tutus, they will do exactly that in tribute to Rosie if you dig deep and we reach £10,000 for this great cause!

Rosie was a vivacious, fun-loving, bright and beautiful daughter, sister and friend who was blossoming into a wonderful young woman with great potential. She was a successful student at Grey Court School, a keen rower and up-and-coming model, with a great group of friends and a very full and happy social life. Rosie was an extremely active, healthy and fit girl and her passing has been a great shock to all who knew her. Her sudden death is believed to be due to cardiac arrhythmia.

Rosie's Fund was created by Rosie's friends and family, along with Grey Court School, to help children and their families live better lives. The Mitchell family has decided that all donations to Rosie’s Fund for Rob’s, Matt’s and Adam’s London Marathon attempt will go to Momentum (www. moment-um.org).

Momentum supports children and their families across Surrey and SW London who are faced with the diagnosis of cancer or other life-limiting conditions. The charity offers practical and emotional support through its Family Support Programme, and through Momentum Echoes it provides a specialist bereavement service to families who have suffered the unimaginable heartbreak of losing a child.

Your donations will help Momentum extend their services to more families in more hospitals. Thank you for giving generously!
