Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

One of our friend's Dad sadly died last year.

Rob Lawty was a keen runner/cyclist/countryman who enjoyed competing in many races and he could often be found out exploring in the countryside with his family. He was a caring and loving husband, dad, grandad and son who would do anything for anyone.

He had the great ability of lighting up a room with his cheeky grin and sense of humour. During a chatty evening run last year Rob suffered a sudden catastrophic heart attack which sadly he didn’t survive.

We are holding a 10k run/walk/cycle event between 28 Mar and 5 Apr 2021. You can complete it in one go or split it if you wish.

Dnoations will go to one of Rob’s favourite charities; Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team, one of the team attended when Rob collapsed. SRMRT are funded entirely by donations and contributions.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
