Story
"Poetry is ordinary language raised to the Nth power. Poetry is boned with ideas, nerved and blooded with emotions, all held together by the delicate, yet tough skin of words" - Paul Engle (American Poet, 1908 - 1991)
**A marathon of poems are being read at the poetry café in Covent Garden, London on Saturday 22nd July 12pm - 10pm! I am one of 60 aspiring poets participating and am scheduled to perform on the mic at 1pm. If you're free and in the area, feel free to come along and support the cause!**

As some of you may know, The Poetry Society is energetically raising funds to pay for the exciting refurbishment of the much-loved Poetry Café in Covent Garden. The works will update and improve access, increase the capacity, provide new heating and ventilation and acoustically separate the basement venue from the Café ground floor.
Every aspect of the visitor experience will be improved, providing a home for poetry for years to come! The Society is close to reaching their fundraising target for completing the renovations – but they need your help to reach the final 10% of the target. Any help you can give will be very gratefully received :)
