Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. For those who know me will know this fantastic charity is so close to my heart, so every donation will be very appreciated.

The charity's main aim is to grant wishes to children who are suffering from life threatening illnesses.

When my brother was 3 years old he was diagnosed with the horrendous inherited disease called cystic fibrosis. This disease affects the lungs and digestive system and causes them to be clogged with mucus, causing it hard to breathe and digest food and it shortens life expectancy.

For anyone who has lived with a person suffering you will know it has high impacts on not just the person but their families too. Everyday life and small things we take for granted becomes a challenge.

When my brother was 13 he was given a new liver and in hospital for another few months. we were contacted by When you wish upon a star and was told they heard about Matthew and would like to grant him a wish, which not only put a much needed smile on he's face, really showed us there was support out there and people really did care as all money comes directly through generous donations and fundraising.

For once we were given the opportunity to forget about routine hospital appointments or daily physio and gruelling treatments which had taken over all of our lives. And for the first time in many months we were able to just laugh. We were given a memory we will never forget.

Although life has to go back to normal, we now had the charity there for support. whatever we needed they were on the other end of the phone or sometimes all that is needed is a hug. this team turned into friends.

Although now I see my brother deteriorating and suffering which of course breaks my heart he always shows me the determination to get the most out of life. to be the best he can be. All we can do is make family memories, like When you wish upon a star do for other families.

Please help grant an amazing experience to these brave and inspiration children by giving what you can.
