Story

On the 30th August 2022 I will be heading out to complete a 1300km solo thru hike around Scotland. My hike will include, 8 National Scottish trails, 11 islands and 5 ferries and should take approximately 56 days.

I have always loved hiking and over the last 5 years my passion for long distance trails has blossomed.  I was never planning on using this hike to raise money however after being asked by friend and family if they could sponsor me I could think of no worthy a cause than the SMR.

When spending time in the outdoors it is always reassuring to know that, should the need arise, mountain rescue teams throughout the country are on call.  These volunteers dedicate their time, skills, equipment and often their own cash to ensure help is on hand to the outdoor community.

Thank you to them and thank you to you for visiting my page.  I appreciate from the bottom of my heart anything you are able to give.
