Story
Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Like the picture ? - not me, the scenery ! This is me with the Matterhorn in the background. Apart from being one of my most treasured mountain photos, I am also wearing my Rob Roy T Shirt ! We all have our mountains to climb, but with a little help from all of us, we can help others less fortunate get to the top of their mountains.
There are so many worth while Charities out there, it is hard to choose which ones to support. The Martin Currie Charitable Foundation have selected the following charities. They are all worthwhile and provide essential services and support to people who need it.
On 22 June this year I am taking part in the Rob Roy Challenge. Based in Kenmore, I am attempting a 14 mile run followed by a 56 mile cycle through some beautiful but unfortunately also hilly countryside. I hope to complete the course in around 7hrs.
The Charities that will benefit from my efforts are Cyrenians, HorseBack UK, Marie Curie, Maggies, NSPCC and Scotland Charity Air Ambulance. I am going to do a bit of training so that I can enjoy myself on the day. However, the effort I will put in is nothing to the effort and support provided by these Charities.
