Simplyhealth Great North Run 2019 · 8 September 2019 ·
It’s that time of year again where I need to start my running training and start fundraising in memory of the most amazing man that I was lucky enough to call my Dad. It’s been 4 years since my Dad lost his battle with cancer. We all miss him so very much, there really is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of him. I couldn’t do the Great North Run last year but I’m back for it this year, I’ve chosen to raise money for an incredible charity Help for Heroes, as my Dad was a Royal Marine himself in his younger years this was a charity that my Dad supported and raised money for many times. My Dad was a super hero to me, so in his memory I’d love to help the heroes out there that desperately need our help. Please family and friends dig deep to help this wonderful charity. Any amount will help. I thank everyone that has helped me raise money in the previous years of doing the Great North Run, let’s make this one super special!
Thank you all.
Imagine your life changing overnight. Suddenly, the world you knew is not accessible. You must start from scratch, all over again.
This is happening right now.
Every day, seven people leave the Armed Forces with life changing injuries.
Many struggle, meaning they and their families need specialist help to aid recovery from wounds both visible and hidden.
Your donation allows Help for Heroes to continue providing vital support, now and in the future.
Thank you for supporting me, Help for Heroes and all those who need them.
