Since moving to London I've been struck by how many people live their lives on the streets. When I went to my office in Covent Garden in the mornings I would often chat with homeless people who regularly slept outside and on occasion grab them a coffee or food.

Those who know me know:

1. I'm a bit of a Princess and
2. I like my sleep

Attempting to sleep outside - at the start of winter - in the cold and likely rain - will, I assure you, be rather unpleasant for me. And yet for me it's just one night, not a lifetime.

I hope that by taking part in the CEO Sleepout I can do a small thing to help those who have to sleep outside 365 days a year by supporting an organisation who will help them.
