Story
As some of you may have noticed over recent
months my “mane” has become particular long / out of control. Through the many references to looking like Roland Orzabal (Tears for Fears), Alan Davis and a Wet Cocker Spaniel, it is about time that something was done about this. Whilst I may have been blessed with thick uncontrollable hair, many of us are not, particularly those who suffer from Alopecia Areta.
A diagnosis of alopecia can make you feel like your world has been turned upside down. It can impact on relationships, work and social life. Many can find it difficult to go out in public to begin with, or even look in a mirror, especially Woman and Children.
Myself and Steve Vaughan (who himself suffers from Alopecia) are looking to raise awareness for Alopecia UK who are a UK charity run by people of have direct experience of Alopecia who are here to help individuals through their difficult time. To raise awareness and aid Alopecia UK, myself and Steve shall look to take part in a Sponsored Head Shave on the 31 May 2018 on the Chubb balcony of One America Square, EC3N 2AD.
Literally, all hair upon the tops of our head shall be getting shaved off!
For those of you who are crying out “About time Ross got a haircut”, the good news is you too can be part of this. The person who is gracious enough to donate the highest single amount, shall get the privilege
of being the individual to wield the Head Clippers and shave both myself and Steve’s heads…! Form and orderly que.
