Story
The Harper College Society of Engineers is a team of talented individuals who look forward to changing the world. We want our legacy at Harper College to be introducing innovative technology. We turned our efforts to an all-electric vehicle that can handle speed as well as harsh terrain, and so the EV Baja Truck Project was born. We knew a project like this would be the spark that transforms Harper's Engineering, Manufacturing, and Entrepreneur program to something even bigger, attracting even more talented individuals, and continuing the push for a more energy sustainable path for our world. We hope to continue work hard to perfect the vehicle, but need your help to finance this ambitious project. Giving what you can will offer us the chance to hone our skills, showcase our hard work, and build a better world.
I first discovered the Harper Society of Engineers club while searching for clubs involving Computer Science, and joined very soon after. This club is run almost entirely by the students, which gives us the ability to do any project we can put our minds to. So we thought, "let's build an electric go-kart!" This idea evolved into the EV Baja Truck, an electric vehicle that can go fast, as well as go off-road, which we plan to use to compete in a Baja competition later on in the semester. But we need your help! A project as ambitious as this definitely isn't cheap, which is why we've come here. We've come to ask for any donation to help us achieve success. Any donation is welcome, no matter how small (or how big!) it may be, and I thank all of you in advance for taking the time to read our story.
