Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As we approach the second anniversary of Georgie’s passing, I wanted to do something to remember her, and to aid other women and families so they could hopefully have a better outcome after their diagnosis. That is why I have chosen OvaCare ie as my charity.

Georgina Burke was my best friend from primary school, we met way back in 1995/6 and we stayed firm friends until 2019, when she passed away from cancer at 27.

I am an incredibly unfit, unmotivated person who drives everywhere so I don’t have to walk, and those of you who know me would vouch that I don’t enjoy walking or being outdoors much! This will be a big challenge for me, and I will be walking on my days off, taking photos of all the beautiful scenery I see and taking that time to reflect upon my memories of a friend gone far too soon.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
