I'm swimming a mile in (freezing) open water to raise money and awareness for the amazing charity I work for. We do brilliant work with women's rights organisations around the world.
In no country are women equal to men. And the only reason is our gender. This needs to change. Womankind's partners are ending violence against women - things like FGM, domestic violence and rape - supporting women to get into local and national politics, and giving women education and training so they can be independent.
Your donations could make a real difference:
£10 could give one woman in Afghanistan literacy books so she can learn to read, changing her life forever.
£20 could pay for three women to get to a legal aid clinic in Kenya so they can seek justice after surviving violence.
£30 could give a woman survivor of Ebola in Sierra Leone counselling so she can rebuild her life after losing loved ones.
