Rose's Going Sober for October

Going Sober · 1 October 2016
Muscular Dystrophy is a condition that first entered our family's conscience in 2014. My daughter Isabella is 11 years old and has Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 2c. After a lengthy diagnosis period she was finally diagnosed in July of last year. This is a rare progressive, genetic condition affecting all of her proximal muscles. These muscles are weakening and this has a significant impact on her ability to move around on a daily basis. MDUK supports approximately 70,000 people in the UK living with various types of MD. They have made and continue to make a real difference to Isabella and others, providing vital information and support to help people live as independently as possible.
Critically, the charity works hard to provide funds for medical research, accelerating the progress towards finding solutions or even a cure. This work provides us with hope that in Isabella's lifetime things can be made easier. To have such a beautiful child living with such a debilitating condition is heartbreaking, we want to do all we can to ensure that she has the same chances as any other. This is only a very small step in ensuring those chances can be achieved for Bella and other people in her position. Please share and donate now.
