Story

Rose has a rare genetic condition which has caused her to have numerous health problems. Following nearly two years of dialysis, and at 3 years old, Rose had a kidney transplant in October 2011.

Having a transplant has meant a more normal life for Rose, however it takes a lot of hard work and care to maintain it as it is a treatment rather than a cure. Chestnut Tree House have been there for Rose and many others like her through her recovery and treatment.

To celebrate 10 years of life, Rose will be walking 10km on the 10th of October 2021 and would like to raise money for the charity that has taken such good care of her.

Chestnut Tree House is a children’s charity providing hospice care and community support for children and young people with life-shortening conditions. There are hundreds of children and young people in your local community who are unlikely to reach adulthood. And even more parents and family members who need care, help and support on their journey, as they do not know how long they will have together.Your help enables families to spend time together. Precious moments that give a lifetime of memories.
