Story
Hello and thanks for clicking on my page!
After a little peer pressure from work colleagues, i have signed up to attempt to complete the Manchester 10k run with my work's team. This is completely out of the norm for me as i have never really had any interest in getting fit as its not something i enjoy; like some! At the moment (middle of march), i'm struggling to run more than 4k, and the 10k is only 10 weeks away, so please do support me with what ever donations you can afford to motivate me to push myself harder in my training.
The charity that my work team has decided to fundraise for - The Booth Centre - is one of several Mancunian charities that are doing their bit to support and tackle the homelessness epidemic that has gripped the country. In the centre's own words, they:
"bring about positive change in the lives of people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and help them plan for and realise a better future. We do this by providing advice to find accommodation, education, training and help to secure employment, free healthy meals, support in tackling issues with health and addiction, and creative activities to boost confidence and self esteem."
