Story
Hi everyone,
Last month, here at Rollins, we received some awful news that one of our colleagues has been diagnosed with Leukaemia. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and hoping to be back with us as soon as he can.
To show how truly missed he is and how much we are all thinking of him the Rollins Group have decided to organise an event to raise money for ‘Leading Leukaemia Research’ (https://www.leuka.org.uk/). We will be riding the distance from our office (Harlow) to Manchester United Football ground, which is his favourite team, and back again! This is the distance of 424 miles in one day. Our bike ride is going to take place on Thursday 8th November, in the office, on three static exercise bikes.
Leading Leukaemia Research dedicate themselves to turning research into treatments so patients can live better and longer lives. Scientific research is leading to a better understanding of leukaemia. This research along with improvements in treatments and care, has helped to increase the survival rate and improve the lives of patients and their families. As we have all recently seen Leukaemia can effect anyone, with roughly 8,600 people being diagnosed each year. Leukaemia is a cancer of white blood cells. In people with leukaemia the body starts producing more white cells than it needs effecting the production of normal healthy blood cells.
With your help we would like to raise as much money for Leading Leukaemia Research as possible to help fund continued research and save lives. Please donate as much or as little as possible. Thank you for your support.
Love
Rollins Team xx
