On 29th October I will be running the Dublin City Marathon. Not sure how I got talked into this as I clearly recall saying I'd never do another one after Belfast 2010. Ah well no turning back now.

Having committed to doing this I decided to run it for Friends of the Cancer Centre which does great work throughout Northern Ireland for those affected by cancer. I hope that the money raised will contribute to the work they do and that someday a cure will be found for this awful disease which affects so many people.

Training is going well. I'm up to 18 miles so far and running 20 miles in Athlone next weekend. Pray the miles are kind to me and I finish in one piece.
