I'm doing the walk for three main reasons:-

In memory of my brother-in-law Michael Byrne who lost his life a few years ago to cancer, who received superb care at the Royal Marsden at Sutton in his final days. [The photo is of Michael and me taken some time ago!]

Also a big thank you to the Royal Marsden at Fulham who have been looking after my wife, a BRAC2 carrier, for all the preventative treatment she has received and continues to receive.

Finally, to celebrate a year since my surgery for cancer [carried out at RSCH], which stopped me from doing the 'Marsden March' last year.

I'm so looking forward to the day, I'm certain there will be a tear in my eye. But also lots of smiles.
