Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In one of those parental bravado moments, I agreed to join Lottie, my daughter, and run my third marathon, her first. So, we are off to Berlin in September with Yetti & Henry doing the Team Trainer & moral support bit. Lottie is running for Cancer Research UK. As for me, I had not given too much thought to fund raising until I saw a recent Save the Children advert on TV which ambushed me as these things sometimes do. It instantly gave me a cogent reason to run and appear on these pages.
Children die when poverty, poor health and hunger conspire to end lives. Save the Children is working flat out to tackle malnutrition through its work. Every year, 3.1 million children die from malnutrition-related causes – accounting for 35% of children’s deaths. The scale of the problem is huge. The chronic form of malnutrition, known as stunting, affects 178 million children – one-third of all children under five-years old in developing countries.
