YES, THE TITLE TELLS THE TRUTH!
On June 17th 2012 I bounced 4 miles miles on a Space Hopper along Gwithian Beach in Cornwall. Yes, I looked a complete and utter muppet but there was in fact a reason for doing so!
The World Land Trust is a charity close to my heart. They buy areas of natural land in order to preserve them and the species which live within them, and therefore encourage the natural ecosytem. For every £100 an acre of land can be saved in areas such Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala and Mexico (part of Buy an Acre) WLT also purchase and protect threatened Orang-utan habitat in Borneo, wildlife corridors for Elephants in India and grasslands in Kenya (Special Appeals). For more information, please head to http://www.worldlandtrust.org/
This event was an official Guinness World Records(TM) Attempt! The record I shall be attempted to break was the Furthest Distance Travelled on a Space Hopper in 24 Hours - which currently stands at 3.11miles (5km). I bounced for 2hours and 20minutes and bounce for 4 miles! Unofficially therefore I have completed the challenge, but in 6-8 weeks I will be able to let you know if it has been made official! (If you mention this event anywhere, please avoid mentioning the fact it is a record attempt in the headline and only include it in the body of the text. Never use the logo and always have the registered trademark symbol after the name Guinness World Records(TM). This is to avoid breaching copyright licensing laws. Thank you very much!)

So please, dig deep - and look out for passing boys on space hoppers!
