Story

Thanks for visiting our page!

On the 19th of September, we're running the Great North Run in aid of Cancer Research UK.  It's a great cause and a personal one, too, so we hope you'll support us as generously as you can.

We'll keep you updated throughout the summer with news and photos of our training, injuries, and sibling rivalry, so be sure to keep visiting and if you like what you see then be sure to make a donation.

Update 21/08/10

With only four weeks to go as well as donations, we will also be taking bets on which of us makes it over the finish line first.  Rog has the fastest half-marathon time at 1hr 35 minutes so would seem to be the favourite but has no experience in the GNR, doesn't really like hills, and is going on a lad's holiday to Magalouf next week.  Ollie's fastest time is 9 minutes slower than his brother (1hr 44 minutes) but he has got shorts with go-faster stripes on them and has been getting very muddy in them recently (doing cross country).  Choose your brother and if you're right you could win big prizes!

Update 18/09/10

Less than 24 hours to go.  Ollie has got tendonitis, has o.d.-ed on ibuprofen, and has a new p.b. of 1hr 41 minutes.  Rog has eaten a Thorntons ice-cream, cream cake, a lot of sandwiches (of course) and found walking around Newcastle yesterday pretty challenging.  Just sitting down isn't enough for him today, he wants to lie down... all day...
