Thanks for taking the time to visit Robin Elvin Remembered JustGiving page
Robin was a very special artist with stunning skill.... he would simply say that he was 'self taught' .... yet this led to him drawing and painting many 'famous' people. Usually, Muhammad Ali, Michael Parkinson and Eric Clapton are mentioned in any press releases of Robin's work, although a long list of 'household' names and personalities could be added.... as well as ' local' characters, more well known in West Norfolk.
Recognition of Robin's immense talent was confirmed when he was commissioned to paint a portrait of The Queen for Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee.
Robin Elvin loved his music and was an accomplished guitarist, regularly playing as a guest with bands and having great ambition for the Black Sabbath tribute band, Fony Iommi, he formed and performed in.
In the week following what would have been Robin's 60th Birthday, all are welcome to join Robin's friends at Bar Red in King's Lynn on Easter Sunday, 16th April, 2017 where bands will be playing from 4pm. ..... carrying on Robin's efforts of raising money for Cancer Research through an annual music event.
Please make a donation in Robin's memory to support a very worthwhile cause.
Thank you
