Story
Hello, my name is Richard Lal.
Myself, and the Lal Family are raising money for Myton Hospice in memory of my brother, Robin Lal
Why?
Robin was a handsome, creative, jovial, caring and loving 25 year old, whose time was cut short at the cruel fate of having a brain tumour.
Robin was looking forward to a successful career after his graduation in July 2009, but sadly Robin was diagnosed in November 2009, when he was just twenty three years old.
He initially underwent extensive surgery to remove most of the tumour, followed by twelve weeks of radiotherapy to eradicate what could not be surgically removed. The tumour remained stable until December 2010, after which he started on chemotherapy treatment.
Robin was incredibly brave, strong and remained quick-witted, this allowed him to lead a fun lived life with his family and long-term girlfriend, Hannah, who remained by his side 24/7.
Cruelly, in November 2011 the tumour became aggressive, despite his operation, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other treatments,
Robin spent three weeks in Myton Hospice, Coventry, where he felt well looked after and comfortable. Within a couple of days of being there he wished to raise money for Myton.
Robin never let his hardship affect his good spirits, his courage, his optimism, his love of life and his astonishing sense of humour.
Robin’s wish was to raise money for charity, always thinking of others. Myton Hospice is one of many charities he chose to raise for.
.
We all miss him greatly, and we know that his spirit will live on in our hearts and in our actions.
By contributing here, you can help individuals and their family members with the car and support they need during a difficult period in their life.
Thank you for supporting
