Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in memory of my father, Robin Bliss.

My dad's military career began after leaving Sandhurst and being commissioned in to the Border Regiment in 1957. For the next 21 years he enjoyed a rewarding and varied army life serving in Germany, the Cameroons, Singapore, Bahrain, Aden, Cyprus and Northern Ireland. When he retired at the rank of Major, he used the skills he had developed in the army to further a very successful private sector career.

My dad never forgot what the army gave him and what the army continues to do for the country today. The Army Benevolent Fund (or as it is now known, ABF The Soldiers' Charity) was one of his favourite charities and he would be very happy to know that it continues to get support, in his memory, from his family, friends and colleagues.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

On behalf of my dad and our family, thank you for any donations you make.
