Story
Thanks for taking time to look at my Just Giving Page. So I'm doing a Lands End to John O'Groats ride. It's a present I bought myself for my 60th Birthday. I'm really looking forward to the challenge and not sure how a pair of old and damaged rugby knees will get on.
Lots off people have said to me "why don't you do it for charity? Lots of us want a reason to give". So here's my page.
I'm doing it for St Clare's Hospice. Those of you that had the very great pleasure of meeting my wonderful wife, Ginnie, will know that she had end of life support from St Clare both at the hospice and at home. We were very grateful for the help they so selflessly gave to us at the time and then for me after Ginnie passed away. It has always surprised me that such incredibly important and meaningful support is charity funded. Ginnie had always hoped that anything she did in terms of trials and treatments would help people live longer and better lives with cancer. Even now she would be happy to know she is helping through her memory that I keep most dear to me
If you'd like to give that's great. If you have other giving priorities that's cool too, its great that you know about St Clare. If you'd like to follow me on Strava I shall make the link active when I set off
