Peru has been hit by heavy rain since the start of this year. This has seriously affected many families, especially those living under very poor conditions. Over HALF a MILLION people have been affected, losing it ALL and struggling to get food, water and shelter.

Many regions have been declared in state of emergency; thousands of homeless people, classes have been suspended, main highways have been closed, and water is now a scarce resource.
