Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have become involved in Paul Kerr's plan to raise money for charity by completing the 3 peaks challenge on Saturday the 1st and Sunday the 2nd of August. This involves Paul, myself and 11 of our friends climbing the
highest mountains in
the 3 countries of mainland Britain. Starting at 12 noon we will climb Snowdon in Wales at 3,560 ft. We will then drive to and
climb Scafell Pike in England at 3,209 ft and then overnight we will
drive to and Climb Ben Nevis in Scotland at 4,409 ft finishing 12 noon
Sunday. We will be doing all of this in 24 hours.
The
money we raise is going to go to The Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre (MSRC) which is a proactive and innovative charity,
passionately committed to supporting anyone affected by Multiple Sclerosis through access to unbiased information
and advice. Their approach is to encourage individuals to make choices that are appropriate to their daily
lives, empowering them to maximise their potential.
For
those of you who don't know Paul, he is an old friend of mine and an
ex-Royal Marine who has been living with MS for a couple of years now.
Paul is undergoing ground breaking treatment for his illness which
involves weekly sessions in an oxygen chamber and regular doses of
chemotherapy. In spite all of this Paul doesn't let his MS get in his
way. He still has a great love for the outdoors and still likes to meet
challenges head on. I find impossible not to be inspired by Paul's
attitude to life.Any donation you can make, however small, will be gratefully received
.
Thank you for your generosity.
