Robert was a gentle man, loved by so many people. He always had time to stop and chat to his many friends and neighbours in Repton. 

Most of his activities especially in retirement involved some form of volunteering. He used his many practical skills to help disabled people through the REMAP charity. He was the Treasurer for the National Garden Scheme for Derbyshire for many years and took great pleasure in opening his own lovely garden knowing that he was raising money for nursing and caring charities.

Above all Robert was a family man and will be sadly missed  by his wife Pauline and children John, Richard and Rachel, sister Judy and 6 lovely grandchildren.
