Story
I am participating in a Charitable Bike ride from Hollingbourne to to the coast at Seasalter on Sunday 11th September in aid of the Charity Starfish Malawi. The event is to raise money for two urgent projects for children in Malawi whoses schools are twinned with Primary Schools in my village of Hollingbourne and with others in Kent too. The first project is to tackle seasonal hunger through a proven Maize field project at Kaputu School, Salima which will help feed and educate several thousand children and encourage them into school for a daily meal. The cost of this project is just £400.
The second pioneering project involves giving 200,000 children and teachers across the region access to the IT technology we all take for granted. IT will open up their world and provide them with much improved education, communication, support and vastly improve their future prospects.
This project requires just £17,500 worth of funding. Or to put it another way, for every £20 raised over 170 children will benefit. Please click here if you would like more information on Starfish Malawi, and thank you for your generous support.
