Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi all, I am turning 40 this May! and as I cannot afford a convertible sports car for my mid-life crisis, I thought I would do something more rewarding which only costs me lots of blood sweat and tears but hopefully lots of your money to provide for my nominated charity – Small Steps.
I have been very fortunate to be offered a Ballot place on this year’s 2014 London Marathon. This means I have the opportunity to choose which charity I can help donate to. As a Father of 4 young boys and budding athletes, I thought it would be a good idea to lead by example to them and by helping other children who may not be as fortunate as my own boys.
Small Steps, provides vital assistance for children with special needs aged 0-4 years. It teaches parents of children with cerebral palsy, and other forms of motor and sensory impairment, how to help their child develop basic skills - looking, listening, sitting and walking.
A close colleague of mine used the specialist help provided by Small Steps for his son and the help and support has proved vital in Sam’s development and wellbeing as well as providing much needed help and support to his family.
Small Steps is solely dependent on grants, donations and fundraising in order to operate so every penny really does help.
Your donation would help Small Steps continue to make a difference for so many disabled children and their parents.
Thanks in advance for your help
