Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday April 10th I ran the Brighton Marathon. It was a fantastic occasion, which I found really tough in the scorching sunshine. But the crowds, fellow team members and watching family spurred me on to finally cross the finish line after 4 hours 33 minutes.
My chosen charity is Friends of Newick House, a school in Mid Sussex that specialises in communication and social interaction. My son Jack attends Newick House, and like many other children there, has autism, a condition that has a profound effect on how he communicates and experiences the world around him.
Jack loves Newick House School and as a parent I it gives me great comfort to know he is in a safe and compassionate environment where he will be given the best chance of reaching his full potential. There are many activities that Jack enjoys at Newick House such as swimming, horse riding, and day trips. These activities are an essential part of Jack's education and are reliant upon voluntary donations.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks to everyone who has donated and to those who have supported me during these months of training and on the day. I promise not to go on about all of my injuries now! Thanks for reading.
