I am running the 2018 GNR in memory of my step son Jac who lost his fight against leukemia ALL in December 2017 just before Christmas. Jac was first diagnosed in 2014 and after undergoing treatment was in remission and just 6 months away from ringing his victory bell, until we got the devastating news in April 2017 it had returned, and in Oct 2017 underwent Radiation therapy killing off the disease and effected bone marrow ahead of his bone marrow transplant. All the way through treatment Jac always did it with a smile on his face and never let anything get him down even when we got the devastating news Jac's leukemia had returned within 3wks of his transplant this time more aggressive and given the news there was nothing else they could do for him and told we only had months/weeks, but all the while had a smile on his face, and because of his determination to fight and laugh in the face of the disease won the North East child of courage award.

Because of their continued support from diagnosis and continued support to this day after Jac's final see you later I have chosen to support them by running this year's GNR, so that they can continue supporting families as they have done us. 

To date so far our friends and family have raised just under £900 in donations at Jac's see you later party, and with doing the run I would love if we could beat the £900 and raise £1000 so far I am sitting at £850 which is a mahusive achievement  PLEASE could you donate as little or as much as possible its all going to a worthy cause.
