Early on the 16th July I will be setting off for a 15 hour dinghy sail to the south side of the Isle of Wight and back. It is 40 nautical miles and we will carry everything we need in the dinghies. I am told I will burn calories equivalent to running the London Marathon twice!! They clearly have not seen how I sail - and how many times I capsize in an average trip!! 

Why? To contribute towards Christian Youth Enterprises (CYE). CYE is a fantastic Christian organisation providing great opportunities for young, and not so young, people to learn to sail, have fun on the water and learn more about God. I sailed there when I was a little younger (!) and am delighted to continue to support them as they plan for the next phase of their journey with brand new facilities.  I am hoping to raise money for some interactive white boards for the new teaching and meeting facilities on board the new ship see http://www.cye.org.uk/  Our goal is for each participant to raise a minimum of £200
