Thanks to Lucky2bhere and the generosity of those who donated through our page, 3 life saving public access defibrillators are available in Riverside, Stirling at all times (at the primary school, the dentist and the Riverbank Centre). These have been in place for years ow keeping people safe.

Our defibrillators are maintained regularly. However,  with an eye on the future we are planning for replacement batteries and any other accessories required for continuing good service. This could be maintaining the weatherproof cabinets for example.  We want to ensure our defibrillators continue to be in tip top condition when needed for years to come. We need to replace the batteries very soon. Donations through this page will be used to raise the additional monies required, and this will cover all of our machines. Please help by donating through this site. We thank all the residents and friends who raised money to obtain the defibrillators and support the work of Lucky2Bhere. Our defibrillators can help to save lives. When someone suffers a cardiac arrest, the chance of survival falls by 10% every minute without action. However, with CPR and the use of a defibrillator within 3 minutes, the chance of survival could be as high as 70%. These devices can be used by people, often with little or no training, to re-start the heart of a victim of sudden cardiac arrest.

We are a group of Riverside residents working on this project with Riverside Community Council and with the support of our local Councillors. Lucky2behere provide defibrillators and training to communities across Scotland (see ww.lucky2bhere.org for further information on their activities).
