Story
We are devastated to share that Rita Lovell sadly passed away on Thursday, April 29th.
Rita spent her final years battling cancer, but that didn't stop her from enjoying life and taking care of those around her.
A much-loved mum, sister, auntie, nana, friend and all-round powerhouse, Rita leaves many loved ones behind. She also leaves wonderful memories: her razor-sharp sense of humour, dancing 'till dawn, and teaching science to her students (and grandchildren) in her own fun and unconventional style.
There will be many people who knew her and loved her and would like to share their respects, but due to COVID regulations, there can only be a limited number at the funeral. Therefore if you would like to remember Rita, please consider donating to Cancer Research or sharing this post.
Cancer Research means a lot to us as a family - we hope it can help others, and maybe one day find a solution to this awful disease.
If you do decide to donate, please include any stories you carry with you about Rita, or memories that make you smile - we'd love to hear them.
Thank you,
Rita's family
