Story
For many people around the world Golf is a very enjoyable game. It gives many people huge joy and happiness.
With golf course currently being closed in England, Wales and Ireland lots of golfers aren't able to get out and enjoy their beloved sport.
Now golf isn't just a sport where you whack a ball around a field, for many people it's their whole social life, their escape from the stresses of work, home and the world we live in.
It's an opportunity for golfers to talk to others about life, relationships, finances, work, the future and the past. Without these regular interactions many people are not having those conversations on a regular basis and therefore many will miss those casual and important chats, therefore many people struggling may experience mental health issues and depression.
So to help raise awareness and raise money for MIND I plan to walk 18 holes (4 miles) everyday through the month of February carrying my golf clubs on the streets, in parks and areas close to my home. I also plan to set up group zoom calls while I am on these walks for people who are struggling to talk to like minded people and also it gives them an opportunity to discuss any issues they maybe facing.
