In memory of Richi Rootz

Story

The Richi Rootz Dance is an annual dub reggae event held in memory of Richi Rootz (Rich Harper) a local musician and social worker who died after a stroke at the age of 48 in 2011.  The Richi Rootz Foundation was set up as a fund with the Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation, to raise money to support victims of stroke and their families locally.  Alongside the Lord Mayors appeal, the Richi Rootz Foundation is funding the refurbishment of the  quiet room for the stroke unit at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.  The quiet room will provide a space for patients and families to have quality time together off the ward.
The Foundation is hoping to raise £1,000 through this year's event.
