Story
I don't normally cycle more than 10 miles unless it involves a pub lunch so am challenging myself by attempting this 100 mile course as fast as I can. Its a recreation of the Olympic cycling route so its full of nasty hills and everyone will be wearing lycra.
All the money raised will go directly to the labs at BARTS CANCER INSTITUTE (www.bci.qmul.ac.uk) via the Queen Mary Foundation where lots of young talented scientists are working on cutting edge treatments for cancers that currently have very low survival rates such as those of the pancreas and the oesophagus. As you know, I have lost my Dad - who puts me to shame in terms of fundraising - and paternal Grandparents to cancer so it would mean a lot if you could make a donation.
Thanks
Richard
