Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our second son Elliot was born sleeping on his due date 25th March 2011. We found out the day before that he had died, he was born with the cord wrapped round his neck 3 times and with 2 knots in it. There was nothing we could have done to save him. The devastation of losing a child is unimaginable but Sands provides vital support for families in our situation.
I decided to take on a challenge to help raise awareness and funds for Sands but also to honour the memory of our second beautiful boy Elliot - you are always in our hearts and thoughts.
The challenge is to cycle from John O'Groats, to Land's End via the most extreme North, South, East and West points of the UK mainland. This is just over 1400 miles and I hope to cover this distance in 14-16 days. I'll be doing this in the second half of September 2011 and will be unsupported which means that I'll be carrying all of my equipment with me rather than relying on a support vehicle.
For those that didn't find there way here via the challenge website I've set up, you can find out what I'm doing and how things are going during the build up and during the challenge itself by visiting it at extremejogle.blogspot.com
