On October 3rd 2010, I will be competing in the Racing the Planet, Sahara Race - one of the toughest footraces in the world. The race involves running 250km in 6 days across the Sahara desert in 40+ deg temperatures. The equivalent of 6 marathons in 6 days.
My goal is not only to complete the 250km race but to raise at least £5000 for a charity in doing so. The charity I have chosen - The EnkI fund, is a small charity run by volunteers with a vision to assist under privileged children in Kenya.
The Enki fund aims to facilitate sustainable educational support by improving access to education for destitute childrenin rural areas in Kenya. The organisation endeavours to give under-privileged, desperate children the opportunity to learn skills and technology to enhance their personal development.
