Story
It’s been thirty years since my dad was diagnosed and shortly thereafter died from pancreatic cancer. He was just 56 years old.
Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet 30 years on for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. It’s unacceptable that still more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months.
In his memory and to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK I am setting out on an epic cycling challenge in September to ride from Lands End to John O’Groats in just 9 days. 980 miles and 16,000 metres of climb (Everest is only 8,849m).
I have paid my own entry and ask for any support you might be kind enough to give to this worthwhile charity.
Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to taking on this disease using every possible means. They're supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future. Help them to make the breakthroughs that people with pancreatic cancer so desperately need.
