Story
I learnt to ride without stabilisers at age of
about two, on my sister's bike when she was at school. About 20 years ago I
rode a penny farthing over Westminster Bridge, round Parliament Square and down
Victoria Street, before falling off it outside the Army and Navy store.
My serious training began in earnest on 1st April (fool!) and undertook my first major ride of the Yorkshire Challenge, which took me 3 days. I’m currently training harder than ever, averaging more than 150 miles a week. Last week however my training efforts came in at 218.5 miles.
I have chosen to support Acorns Children’s Hospice as it is the Perkins Slade nominated charity of the year, and admire the tireless support and help they provide to children with life limiting illnesses and their families.
