I hung up my riding boots at the end of last season to try my luck at racehorse training. Having previously been National PTP Champion Jockey in 2010 & eight times Devon and Cornwall Point to Point Champion, with no desire to ride professionally, it made sense to progress my training career after training over 100 point to point winners to train 'under rules'. We have had a reasonably successful start with 11 winners already this season.

Having not retired from riding long, I am looking forward to being in the saddle at Wincanton riding against some old weighing room friends such as Tim Vaughan. It is for a great cause as Racing Welfare does a great job looking after the people within our industry.
