THE BIG C strikes again!

In January 2012 my Auntie Phyllis was diagnosed with breast cancer. Within a year she had developed both bone and skin cancer. Sadly, Phyl lost her fight and passed away on 9th March 2013.

During the year following diagnosis, Phyl was regularly visisted by Maria from Macmillan who's care proved envaluable, helping Phyl come to terms with the disease and unfortunately the inevitable.

In addition to Phyllis's story, immediate family and close friends of mine have also been affected by this terrible disease. With that in mind, running my third marathon for cancer charities, is my way of doing my little bit to raise awareness and much needed funds in the fight against cancer.
