Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This week it is National Mental Health Awareness week. I decided to fundraise for Wiltshire Mind. In the present time mental health issues are coming to the foreground, and particularly, in relation to the coronavirus pandemic. During these challenging times it is natural for all of us to feel worried and anxious.
I wanted to raise money for this cause as they provide an amazing support network and services for people with mental health issues in the local area. Mind plays a vital role in helping people to cope and promotes mental wellbeing.
I thought that I would do this fundraiser as a lot of charity fundraising from events such as marathons have been put on hold due to current times. In the past I have raised money for other charities taking part in events such as half marathons. As a postman and part of the community in Wiltshire area, I thought I would use my job as a way to deliver a bit of fun, wearing fancy dress for the next 5 days. I have already worn fancy dress the last couple of weeks and really lifted the mood of the public that I deliver to. If I can raise a little bit of money for this great cause at the same time as making people smile then that is a bonus!
