Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 31st July 2013 my daughter Sophie Celyn was born 13 weeks premature whilst on holiday in Snowdonia.  She sadly lost her battle 7 hours later. Ride London 2016 takes place  on the 3rd anniversary of that sad day and having watched the Olympic Road Race in 2012 wishing I could do that, it was a challenge I could not resist.  Tommy's  funds medical research into premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriages and also provides an information line for health during pregnancy. My target is £1000, as a £1000 grant from Tommy's has the potential to leverage £5000  from the worlds most prestigious medical providers.

1 in 4 pregnancies in the Uk end in premature birth, stillbirth or miscarriage and often (as in our case) there is no reason why, just the memories and the questions which never go away. It is something that you never really think will happen to you, until it does.

Please help me to reach my target, so that I can achieve my  personal goal of 100 miles, in memory of Sophie Celyn Lamb.
